Edward VII sterling silver vesta case with a cushion shaped form, mixed floral, foliate & engine turned decoration styles, an initial engraved shield cartouche IW, and a gilded interior.
Hallmarks consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, anchor mark for Birmingham, Birmingham date letter b for 1901, and makers mark H M for Henry Matthews.
It measures 48mm long by 34mm wide (exc. fix ring), by 12mm thick, and has a silver weight of 33.2g (inc. metal spring).
