Edward VII sterling silver desk wax seal, with a tapered handle and an engraved crested seal plate of a stag head erased, with the motto Justum perficito, nihil timeto (Act justly, and fear nothing) attributed to the Rogers family, purporting to have belonged to English aristocrat, barrister and author Thomas Englesby Rogers (1817-1912).
Hallmarks are clear although the makers mark has wear, and consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, leopard head mark for London, London date letter l for 1906, and makers mark S C & C O for Stuart Clifford & Co.
It measures 53mm high by 16mm diameter seal, and has a silver weight of 10.0g.
