Very small George III sterling silver vinaigrette, with a plain rounded rectangle shape, and a hinged lid. Inside is gilded, with its lozenge pierced hinged grill.
Hallmarks are somewhat clear and consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, anchor mark for Birmingham, Birmingham date letter h for 1805, makers mark C&B for Cocks & Bettridge, and the George III duty mark.
It measures 24mm wide by 14mm deep by 10mm high, and has a silver weight of 7.4g.
Lid doesn't close flush to the base, but no obvious splits or dents.
