Pair of early George III sterling silver English & Scottish tablespoons with later Victorian decoration, embossed and gilded spoon bowls decorated with bilberry fruit, and foliate scroll handles with vacant cartouches. Hallmarks are very worn, especially the Scottish spoon and both makers marks which are too worn to be identified. The English spoon hallmarks consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, crowned-leopard-head mark for London, and London date letter L for 1766. The Scottish spoon hallmarks consist of the thistle mark for sterling silver, three-towered-castle mark for Edinburgh, and Edinburgh date letter L for 1765.

They each measure 8¾" or 221mm & 222mm long with 43mm wide spoon bowls, and have a combined silver weight of 131.4g.
