I developed a love of antiques from a visit to a local auction house in 2011. After a few months of buying and selling antiques and collectables, I registered as a business, and silver quickly became my speciality. Being something of a magpie, I became drawn to silver, with it's beautiful lustre and natural antibacterial properties. UK RETURNS Should you wish to return an item for any reason, you should notify us within 14 days of receipt (starting the day after you receive your item) of your intention to return. After notifying us, items should then be returned within 14 days. You are responsible for the item until it reaches us. The returning item should be in the same condition as you received it. George IV sterling silver vinaigrette, with a rectangle shape, a hinged lid, an engine turned decoration with floral borders, and an engraved rectangle cartouche to the lid E W. Inside is gilded, with its acanthus pierced hinged grill.

Hallmarks are clear and consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, anchor mark for Birmingham, Birmingham date letter E for 1828, makers mark I B for John Bettridge, and the George III duty mark - Although George IV in date, Birmingham articles were still being stamped with the George III duty mark.
