Pair of George V sterling silver menu holders, with Royal naval crown designs, looped ring menu holder backs, and on rectangle bases with cut corners. Comes in their original display box, labelled with the retailer Gieves Ltd, outfitters to the Royal Navy.
Hallmarks are worn but readable, and consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, three-wheat-sheaves-and-a-sword mark for Chester, Chester date letter Y for 1924, and makers mark J W B for John William Barrett.
They each measure 37mm wide by 28mm deep by 26mm high, and have a combined silver weight of 45.1g, and a total item weight of 107g (inc. box).
