Pair of Victorian sterling silver teaspoons, with fiddle pattern stems and initial engraved terminals J B.
Hallmarks are worn but readable, and consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, three castles mark and crowned leopard head mark for Newcastle, Newcastle date letter C for 1841, makers mark T W for Thomas Wheatley, and the William IV duty mark, which was still being used by the Newcastle assay office until 1844.
They each measure 138mm long, with 28mm wide spoon bowls, and have a combined silver weight of 33.6g.
