Late Victorian sterling silver chatelaine spectacle holder, with a pierced belt loop panel of a tavern scene, a scrolled design to the front of the holder with a vacant cartouche, and a velvet lined interior. Hallmarks are clear and consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, anchor mark for Birmingham, and Birmingham date letter z for 1899. The makers mark is partly worn, but likely to be L & S for Levi & Salaman.
