Victorian sterling silver 1 pint tankard mug, in a tapered form with a large crest of the Saddlers Company, and a hinged lid. The inside of the lid is engraved "In commemoration of the Charter granted by Richard II to the Saddlers Company 20th Mar 1395. Raymond Louis Roumieu 1895".

Hallmarked in London, 1894, with the makers mark WBJ for Edward Barnard & Sons (Walter & John Barnard).

Condition
The tankard has no dents, splits or repairs, although there is wear to the hinge giving some lateral movement of the lid, and wide shallow 'silver-testing' scratches to the underside. There is light surface wear consistent with age and use, and worn but legible hallmarks.
