Dutch continental silver miniature chair with barley twist leg and back supports, an oval back, and domed seat "cushion".

Partially marked with the triple St Andrews Cross mark for Amsterdam, and also a duty mark*. Possibly dates to the mid to late 19th century. Chemically tested as silver.

* Duty mark of a fish within a contoured stamp was used on domestic articles between 1859-1893. This mark was used when the silver tolerences were not met, but does not provide a guarantee to the silver content, except that a minimum of 250 silver was met or exceeded.

Condition
The miniature chair is clean, with no splits, or repairs. There is a dented oval centre seat back, and a manufacturing overlap of the edge of the seat cushion. Some surface wear consistent with age and use. Silver grade likely closer to 800 silver, not the Dutch 835 standard at the time (see above).
